July 14, 2024…See you this weekend!

It’s time! The Fun-DUCT-Raiser is on Sunday! Some returning boaters (yay) and lots of new people willing to give this a try!

New for 2024: 50/50 draw!

A great way to donate! Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10 and the draw will happen after the races at 2:30. Cash and credit/debit options β€” all in support of the Park Association! 🎟️🎟️

Registrations are closed.

But you can still donate to support a boat!

We are grateful for the boats who registered and are excited to see them in action! And if you want to donate after the race…perhaps you’re basing it on performance?…you can still do so!

Watch for the Maritime Paper boats!

Maritime Paper logo

Maritime Paper, Eastern Canada’s Ecofriendly corrugated cardboard manufacturer, has come on board as a sponsor for 2024.

And we have six boats using their pre-designed / pre-cut boat. They were picked up and given white tape to differentiate them…we are looking forward to how creative each one ends up!

Get on the list!

If you’ve thought about volunteering for this fun family event next year or just want to be added to our mailing list, please let us know! Fill in this easy peasy form

So…what the DUCT is this race all about, anyway?

Construct a boat using only TWO items: cardboard and duct tape. (We’ll provide the duct tape ☺️)

Gather donations in support of you and your crew being adventurous enough to do this! (Donate here!)

Paddle against other boats to a buoy and back at Long Lake Park.

All proceeds from this event go towards the not-for-profit Long Lake Park Association (LLPPA). This dedicated group of volunteers keep the park clean and accessible for walkers, runners, strollers, bikers, and four-legged friends. Donate here!
