It’s time! The Fun-DUCT-Raiser is fast approaching, and this year’s boat race is going to be bigger and more buoyant than ever!

Gather your crew and assemble a vessel using duct tape and cardboard. Whether you’re a family or a corporate/community group, anyone above the age of 8 can enter and set sail with Quacky the Duck.

Don’t miss this chance to make waves for a great cause!

Register early!

Hold my space for a boat (click here).

That link will take you to a page where we ask for minimal information to hold a space for you and your crew. Once you’ve registered, we will be in touch with all the info you will need πŸ˜„

Entry is by donation

There is no fee to enter a boat for this race. We ask that you collect donations, all of which are for the Long Lake Park Association, the volunteer-run, not-for-profit group who cares for the Lakeview & Waterfront Trails, parking lot, and facilities.

Welcome our new sponsor!

This wonderful local company has been family-owned since 1931 and has achieved Platinum Status as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. They have a couple of interesting ideas for this year…keep a look out here to find out what they’ve got up their sleeve!

So…what the DUCT is this race all about, anyway?

Construct a boat using only TWO items: cardboard and duct tape. (We’ll provide the duct tape ☺️)

Gather donations in support of you and your crew being adventurous enough to do this! (Donate here!)

Paddle against other boats to a buoy and back at Long Lake Park.

All proceeds from this event go towards the not-for-profit Long Lake Park Association (LLPPA). This dedicated group of volunteers keep the park clean and accessible for walkers, runners, strollers, bikers, and four-legged friends. Donate here!
